The LidoBand from Solvet delivers lidocaine (80mg/band) into scrotal tissues during castration. This novel lidocaine-impregnated elastrator rings addresses the pain and discomfort associated with band castration. Local anesthetic is delivered in as little as 2 hours and lasts for up to 42 days post-application. The LidoBand enables injection-free, surgery-free, bloodless castrations which improve animal welfare. Addressing pain also improves post-castration average daily gain and decreases producer’s time and handling costs. Comes in an easy-to-use blister pack to minimize touching the band. Wear protective gloves while handling the LidoBand. Compatible with most castration band applicators. Suitable for use on lambs and goats under 50 lbs. and calves under 250 lbs.
